The Black & Decker KS890ECN Scorpion Saw is a versatile 400W reciprocating saw designed for cutting wood, metal, and plastic with precision and speed. What sets the Scorpion apart is its dual-mode functionality — operating as both a powered handsaw and a jigsaw, making it a genuinely flexible addition to any toolkit. Whether you need straight-line cuts or curved profiles, the choice of cutting mode allows you to adapt on the job without switching tools. Variable speed control, ranging from 0 to 5,500 strokes per minute, gives you fingertip command over cutting speed — ideal for matching pace to material and maintaining accuracy. The 10mm stroke length and compatibility with multiple blade sizes add further versatility across different applications. Practical safety and usability features are well considered. The tool-free push-button blade change system minimises downtime, while the safety lock-off switch prevents accidental starting — an important feature when working in busy or confined spaces. Features and Benefits: • Dual-mode operation — functions as both a powered handsaw and a jigsaw • Variable speed control (0–5,500 spm) for precise, material-matched cutting • Tool-free push-button blade change for fast, convenient blade swaps • Safety lock-off switch prevents unintentional starting • Cuts wood, metal, and plastic — suitable for a wide range of trade applications • 3m cable for extended reach without a trailing extension lead Specifications: Power: 400W Voltage: 240V Strokes: 0–5,500 /min Stroke length: 10mm Blade size (recip saw): 239mm / 153mm / 134mm Cable length: 3m
